Gabriele Laponte, 27 anni, cantautore calabrese con più di 10 anni d'attività alle spalle, inizia fin dagli esordi un viaggio attraverso la canzone d'autore, il folk, la musica etnica, il blues, lo swing e il rock nelle sue varie sfumature, che si affianca alle varie esperienze come attore teatrale.

Dal 2014 al 2018 è stato frontman e co-fondatore della band The Dreamcatchers rilasciando l'Ep "A Fly In A Storm”. Ha partecipato attivamente alla scena artistica underground di Milano portando i suoi spettacoli a Le Scimmie, Arci Ohibò, Le Trottoir, Bq De Nòtt, All’Unaetrentacinquecirca e molti altri clubs per poi proseguire la carriera da solista partecipando a numerosi festival ed eventi in tutta Italia e Svizzera, aprendo concerti come quelli di Tricarico e Bugo, ricevendo interviste da Red Ronnie e Pietro Ubaldi per diversi radio format e rilasciando l'album "L' Improvviso" nel 2017.

Nel 2019 dopo il progetto su Riace con la canzone "È Stato Il Vento", partecipa con i suoi inediti al Tenco Ascolta, festival della canzone d'autore di Sanremo e viene intervistato da Steven Forti per Radio Contrabanda a Barcellona. 

Negli ultimi anni si dedica a “Rock’N’Roll On The Road”, uno spettacolo portato in scena tra Italia, Francia e Spagna come all' Hard Rock Cafe. Il progetto è un mix tra le canzoni nate in viaggio, la poesia beat e la storia del puro folk rock, da Bob Dylan a De André, un viaggio sulla strada della gente.

A Giugno '23 rilascia il nuovo singolo “Neri A Metà" disponibile su tutti i digital stores, prodotto tra Italia e Los Angeles con Giuseppe Patané in collaborazione con Joel Martin e Simone Sello. A Luglio '23 è stato finalista di Born In ArezzoWave 2023 dove porta il suo ultimo singolo ed il brano "The Promised Land" in chiave acustica come uno dei migliori interpreti italiani di Bruce Springsteen. Il 22 di Agosto '23 si è esibito insieme a tanti artisti, tra i quali Gary Wallis, al Teatro Antico di Taormina per rendere omaggio ai Pink Floyd in ricorrenza del 50° anniversario di The Dark Side Of The Moon. A Novembre '23 pubblica il singolo "Sulla Strada" prodotto con Giuseppe Patané ed Edoardo Tancredi alla batteria. A Dicembre '23 pubblica la versione orchestrale dell'ultimo singolo "Sulla Strada".  Il nuovo album è work in progress e vedrà presto nuova luce. A Luglio '24 torna live per il tour estivo.

Calabrian singer-songwriter born in the '97, Gabriele Laponte starts from the very beginning a journey through songwriting, folk, ethnic music, blues, swing and rock in its various shades as well as the different experiences as theatrical actor. After the experience and the Ep "A Fly In A Storm" with the band The Dreamcatchers and an active participation in the Milan underground scene, he continues his solo career participating in numerous festivals and events throughout Italy and Swiss, opening concerts such as those of Tricarico and Bugo. In 2019, after the project on Riace with the song "È Stato Il Vento", he participated with his original songs at the Tenco Ascolta, Sanremo songwriter festival in Barcelona. In recent years he has devoted himself to "Rock'N'Roll On The Road", a show performed in Italy, France and Spain such as at the Hard Rock Cafe. A mix between songs born on the long trip, beat poetry and the history of pure folk rock, from Bob Dylan to De André, a journey on the path of people. In June '23 he releases the new single "Neri A Metà" available on all digital stores, produced between Italy and Los Angeles with Giuseppe Patané in collaboration with Joel Martin and Simone Sello. In July '23 he was a finalist of Born In ArezzoWave 2023 where he brings his latest single and the song "The Promised Land" in an acoustic key as one of the best Italian interpreters of Bruce Springsteen. In August '23 he performed together with many artists, including Gary Wallis, at the Teatro Antico di Taormina to pay homage to Pink Floyd on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of The Dark Side Of The Moon. In November '23 he released the single "Sulla Strada" produced with Giuseppe Patané and Edoardo Tancredi on drums. In December '23 he released the orchestral version of the latest single "Sulla Strada". The new album is work in progress and will soon see new light. In July '24 he come back on tour.
